1. Audi A7

A welcome departure from the typical Teutonic form-follows-function school of interior design, the Audi A7's elegantly fashionable dashboard packs an array of high-tech features, including a navigation system that can be programmed by a fingertip-handwriting-recognition touchpad.

2. Cherolet Sonic

Daringly stylish, particularly for an inexpensive car, the subcompact Chevrolet Sonic's dashboard – most notably the pod-like instrument panel – borrows styling cues from the world of motorcycles.

3. Chrysler 300

Ward's singles out the Luxury Series versions of Chrysler's full size 300 sedan, which lives up to its name with a rich look and feel though out its sumptuous and tastefully cast passenger compartment. The instrument panel can be wrapped in Poltrona Frau "Foligno" leather for added opulence.

4. Dodge Dart

he new-for-2013 Dodge Dart compact sedan is another example of how a small and reasonably priced car can make its occupants feel affluent. It shows its Italian heritage (via corporate overseers Fiat) in its attention to detail, particularly its ambient lighting and subtle touches of color.

5. Hyundai Accent

The third small and affordable car on Ward's best interiors list shows how far the genre has progressed from the cheap looking "econoboxes" that once proliferated the segment. We particularly like the cool blue touches and subtle chrome-look trim.

6. Hyundai Azera

The Azera is Hyundai's answer to the Lexus ES 350, and it certainly looks the part from the inside, with gracefully sweeping lines and ample use of rich feeling materials. Slap some masking tape over the logo on the steering wheel and few casual observers would identify the interior as coming from the Korean automaker.

7. Infiniti JX 35

A rich combination of leather, wood and brushed aluminum trim, the seven-passenger Infiniti JX35 crossover SUV affords an accommodating atmosphere for a stress-free family getaway.

8. Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

The visually daring Land Rover Range Rover Evoque crossover SUV is just as exciting looking from the inside as it is on the outside. Instead of a shift lever, an intuitive-to-use dial raises up from the center console when the vehicle is switched on.

9. Mazda CX-5

The Mazda CX-5 compact crossover SUV features what is perhaps the automaker's handsomest interior design to date, particularly when equipped with leather seats and trim. Still, it packs a full array of features without losing its no-nonsense approach to ergonomics in the process.

10.Volkswagen Beatle

No, the bud vase from the previous-generation model is gone, but the redesigned Volkswagen Beetle still manages a few retro touches, such as the large and rectangular glovebox door, while embracing modern elements of style and sophistication.
